Just joined this week.
A simple screen for UK large cap stocks paying dividends: Exchange Country = UK dividend yield > .04 (4%) Market Cap > 1,000,000,000 Produces only 5 companies. The correct result should be circa 96 companies. Some examples of missing stocks which do pay dividends and with dividend yields > 4% are : LON:BP. LON:EMG LON:HSBA When I look at the company profiles for these 3 stocks, the dividends do show up in the cash flow section. |

Which dividend variable are you using? I ran the following screen:
Add Condition->Descriptive->Security->Exchange Country = "GBR" Free Form Condition: Market Capitalization > 1,000,000,000 Free Form Condition: Current year dividend per share estimate / Price-closing or last bid > 0.04 I got 113 results, including: LON:BP. LON:EMG LON:HSBA If you are using an "indicated" or forward looking yield variable, not all companies will have a value (there may be quite a lot of NULL values). As a result, many companies will be excluded. |

Lenny,
Thanks for the fast response. Yes that solves my issue. I was using "indicated", from the drop down fields on dividends. So now I know how, looks good. Just one question, why not have that critical condition in the drop down list? |

The drop down lists only contain individual variables. You can use them, together, to construct composite formulas like the one I provided. All arithmatic operators are supported, as are parenthesis.
Both the dividend per share estimate and price variables would appear in the drop down if you typed part of the variable name. |
