How is "average" defined (for example in ROA 5_yr average). Is it the geometric or arithmetric mean?

You can find data definitions using the search functionality in the upper right of the Screener.co site. For example, the "Return on average assets-5 year average" definition is:

screener.co/component/content/article/55...314-text-and-article

"This value is calculated by first determining the annual Return on Assets for each of the 5 most recent fiscal years and then averaging the resulting values. The Return on Assets is the annual Income After Taxes divided by the Average Total Assets, expressed as a percentage."
