I’m trying to calculate Funds from operations (FFO) for a REIT based on financial statements exported from Screener.co.

The formula is:

FFO =
Net income
+ D&A
+ Losses on sale of assets – Gains on sale of assets
+ Interest income.

I have the Net income and D&A. I can derive interest from Net income, EBIT and Provision for taxes.

But I don’t know where to get the figures for Gains/Losses on sale of assets. Is there any way to calculate it, please?

We do not have losses on sale of assets or gain on sale of assets, but we do have both Operating Income and Normalized Net Income metrics (which may exclude 1x gains/losses such as those). I'm not sure how using those variables would affect your formulas, though. If you are able to create a formula to approximate FFO, please post the code to the forum. I think that would be helpful to other Screener.co users as well.
