Hi,

Could you please provide the syntax of using exponents in formulas?

I am trying to create my own CAGR calculations, but I am having difficulty doing so.

Thanks,
Rahim

Exponents are not supported in Free Form formulas, but you can create Advanced Variables using the POW MariaDB/MySQL function (and then using those Advanced Variables in your Free Form conditions and columns). However, for CAGR, you will need to use fractional exponents, which sometimes return errors in MariaDB (it is inconsistent).

My recommendation is to calculate the equivalent cumulative growth rate for a given CAGR, and then using that in your conditions and formulas. For example, a 20% CAGR over 5 years is the same as a cumulative growth rate of (1.2)^5-1 = 148.832%.
