Here is my Advanced Variable Formula...
netincomebeforetaxesq/currencyexchangeq/((totalcurrentassetsq/currencyexchangeq-totalcurrentliabilitiesq/currencyexchangeq)+plantpropequipmentq/currencyexchangeq+goodwillq/currencyexchangeq+intangibleassetsq/currencyexchangeq)*100

how can i exclude N/A values from the equation?

When you create a Free Form Condition using the variable name that you assigned to the Advanced Variable, there is a check box at the bottom left of the dialog box that allows you to include N/A values. To exclude N/A, just leave that box unchecked.

That does work for the screener, thanks!
Is there any way i could do the same for my watch-list? The free form column under the watch-list doesn't seem to have this N/A Box.

By definition, a watchlist contains all the companies that you assign to it. You can click a column header to sort by that column, but you need to click on a row and select the option to remove that company in order to remove it from the watchlist.
