Could you please include, perhaps as a premium feature, data going back 15 or 20 years, instead of the current maximum of 10.

We do not currently have any plans to extend the history beyond 10 years. That is sufficient for most users (and for calculating PE10). If you don't mind sharing, what would you do with the additional history if we added it?

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. Until recently, we could screen for resilience during the last recession (2008-2009), and speed of recovery afterwards. As the 10-year window moves forward we’re losing this ability, which nevertheless seems important given the expected upcoming recession. Ideally, the history should encompass at least a full business cycle, instead of just a single bull market.

Adding just 5 years of history would e.g. allow to screen for companies
• with earnings that held up reasonably well during the 2008-2009 recession
• that did not slash dividends during that period
• that quickly recovered afterwards

Hello,

When is this being added? We can't find 2008/2009 data which is a big problem and all paid platforms have 20 years of data. And currently we can't see the full business cycle of many companies, especially cyclicals. Please advise.

That is a good suggestion. We receive additional history in our data set, but decided to expose 10 years to strike a balance between the complexity of the UI and number of exposed data points. To allow our screener to be performant, we need to store a lot of data in server memory. Expanding the history would also cause us to incur a material cost to significantly expand the memory of our systems. It is definitely something to think about for the future, but we do not have a defined ETA.
